SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to save a Web page using the Web Page, complete (*.htm;*.html) or Web Archive, single file (*.mht) options in Internet Explorer, you may receive the follow error message:

Error Saving Web Page.

This Web page could not be saved.

CAUSE

This problem can occur when you attempt to save a Web page created using Excel 2000 or Excel 2003. This problem can occur for any of the following reasons:

The Web page contains code that Internet Explorer cannot save in the selected format. For example, Msn.com cannot be saved using the Web archive, single file format and Excel 2000 or Excel 2003 workbooks that contain multiple worksheets in HTML format cannot be saved using the Web Page, complete or Web Archive, single file format.
You select the Web archive, single file format and have insufficient disk space to save the file.

To work around this problem, save the Web page in Internet Explorer using a different Save as format. If you are attempting to save an Excel 2000 workbook that contains multiple worksheets in an HTML format, open, and then save the HTML document using Excel 2000 or Excel 2003.
