WD2000: Error Message: "Setup Cannot Find the Program You Selected" Installing Avery Wizard 2.0

SYMPTOMS

If you have Microsoft Word 2000 installed when you install the Avery Wizard version 2.0, you may receive the following error message:

Setup cannot find the program you selected.

Microsoft Word 97

The Avery Wizard may not work until the selected program is correctly installed.

When you click OK, Setup continues and the Avery Wizard is installed. However, when you try to run the wizard from the Start menu, you may receive the following error message:

Cannot run Microsoft Word. Please start Word first, then start the Avery Wizard.

After you start Microsoft Word 2000, you can access the Avery Wizard.

CAUSE

Avery Wizard 2.0 looks for Microsoft Word 97 in the registry. If Word 97 has never been installed, you receive the error message when you try to run the wizard from the Start menu.
