SUMMARY
This article describes how to remove the TimeServ service from your computer. TimeServ is a utility located in the Windows NT 4.0 Resource Kit.
MORE INFORMATIONWARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may
require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve
problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own
risk. Removing the following registry keys removes TimeServ from your computer:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\EventLog\Application\TimeServ
To verify that TimeServ is removed, run the Services tool in Control Panel.
Note that the service is disabled and unavailable. After you restart the computer, the service is no longer listed in the Services tool.
