WD2000: Number Underline Color Changed When Saving as Word 6.0/95

SYMPTOMS

When you save a Word document containing a numbered list that has a different number underline color than the number color, the number underline color is changed to the number color.

This problem occurs when the Word document is saved as Word 6.0/95.

CAUSE

This functionality is by design. However, when you save as Word 6.0/95, Word may not warn you with the following message that certain formatting of your document will be lost or changed:

Some of the features in this document aren't supported by Microsoft Word 6.0/95.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
