Unable to Embed Binary Files in .chm Files and Link From a Topic Page to That File

SYMPTOMS

After you use Internet Explorer 5.5 or 5.5 Service Pack 1 to embed a binary file into a .chm help file and link from a topic page to that file, clicking the link may not open the file. However, if you click the link a second time, the link may work correctly.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Internet Explorer version 5.5. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

The English version of this fix should have the following file attributes or later:
