Error Message When You Run the Internet Connection Wizard on a Non-Networked Computer

When you attempt to run the Internet Connection Wizard on a non-networked computer, you can receive the following error message: This error message is displayed even if you are logged on using the local Administrator account. Also, when you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 for Windows 98, the Setup button at the top of the Connections tab in Internet Options may be disabled.

This behavior can occur if your installation of Microsoft Internet Explorer is modified using the Microsoft Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) to disable the Internet Connection Wizard functionality.
