This article discusses Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) off-load for Intel PRO/100 S Server and Intel PRO/100 Management adapters.
MORE INFORMATION
Microsoft Windows 2000 includes Intel PRO/100 S Server and Intel PRO/100 S Management adapters which enables off-load for Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) transport mode (end-to-end). These adapters support IPSec security formats AH and ESP and also the combination where AH and ESP are both used for securing the same packet (AH+ESP).
When you use the combined AH+ESP format, you should assign an authentication algorithm only to AH. Set the ESP authentication option to None for the AH+ESP security format.
