SUMMARY

This article describes how to back up AutoComplete Uniform Resource Locator (URL) entries in Internet Explorer 5.0. The procedure performs a backup of the 25 URLs that you have most recently typed into Internet Explorer 5.0.

To back up AutoComplete URL entries, follow these steps:

  1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
  2. Locate the TypedURLs value under the following key in the registry:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
  3. Select the key in the left pane, and on the Registry menu, click Export Registry File.
  4. In the Save In box, select the location where you want to save the key, give the key a name, and click Save.

    NOTE: To restore the key, in Regedit.exe, select the Registry menu and click Import Registry File.
  5. Quit Registry Editor.
