Possible Data Loss in the Locally Cached File

SYMPTOMS

Unsaved user files in the local cache may be deleted without notice or warning and without any chance for you to interact and save the files.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because of a code defect in the Cscui.dll file.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows 2000.

This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 1.
