OL2000: Differences Between Outlook and Outlook Express SYMPTOMS
When you create a new e-mail message in HyperText Markup Language (HTML) format and click a hyperlink in the message, the link may not be active, and may not start a browser program or other appropriate program.
CAUSE
This issue can occur because links and Web addresses do not become active until the e-mail is sent or placed in Drafts folder.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
