If you try to use a Direct3D program while Remote Desktop Sharing in Microsoft NetMeeting 3.01 is enabled, you may be unable to display Direct3D.
NOTE: This article applies only to graphic adapters that have Direct3D capability in Windows 2000. CAUSE
This behavior occurs because Direct3D is disabled when the Remote Desktop Sharing service (Mnmsrvc.exe) is activated. This behavior also occurs if NetMeeting 3.01 is started or is improperly shut down.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, right-click the Remote Desktop Sharing icon on the taskbar, and then click Exit or Disable to restore Direct3D functionality.
STATUS
This behavior is by design.
