Computer May Hang on Restart After LUNs are Increased to 160+

SYMPTOMS

When you restart your computer with an Emulex LP8000 Fibre Channel Host Adapter and Clarion 5 installed after you enable a large number of logical unit numbers (160+), your computer may stop responding (hang).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000.

This problem was first corrected in Windows 2000 Service Pack 1.
