Unable to Change Resolution While DVDExpress Program Is Playing a DVD

SYMPTOMS

When you play a DVD on your Windows Millennium Edition-based computer by using the Mediamatics/Compaq DVDExpress DVD player, you receive the following error message:
Cdvdplay has caused an error in QDVD.DLL. Cdvdplay will now close.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you change your video resolution while the DVDExpress program is running.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact the computer manufacture through the OEM channels located on the Microsoft Web site.
To work around this issue, do not change your video resolution while the DVDExpress program is running.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, on the toolbar click Start, click Run and type DVDPLAY. This launches the Microsoft DVD player.
