SYMPTOMS

When you install Aureal 8820 vxd drivers on a computer with a Universal Serial Bus (USB) audio device, the USB device may be removed.

The location of this device is in the Sounds and Multimedia icon in Control Panel.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the Preferred device in the Audio tab is not selected.

RESOLUTION

Restart the computer to restore the USB functionality.
