SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to upgrade to Windows Millennium Edition (Me), you may receive the following error message:

Setup encountered a problem while checking the integrity of your registry. If your registry is corrupted, Windows Millennium Edition may not run properly. Do you wish to continue Setup? Yes/No

CAUSE

This issue may occur because your computer has a corrupted registry.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, type yes to repair the corrupted registry and continue Setup.
