SUMMARY

This article describes how to switch between several custom dictionaries when you use the Spelling Checker feature in Entourage.

MORE INFORMATION

Programs in the Microsoft Office 2001 for the Macintosh suite share spelling tools. Custom dictionaries that you create when you use Microsoft Word 2001, for example, can be used by Entourage. Entourage does not have an interface to create the custom dictionary.

To choose a custom dictionary:
  1. On the Edit menu, click Preferences, and then click General.
  2. Click the Spelling tab, and then click Dictionaries.
  3. Navigate through the Macintosh file system to locate the custom dictionary that you want to use, and then click Select.
NOTE: Entourage uses the default custom dictionary. The standard installation path for this dictionary is in the following folder:
Hard Disk:System Folder:Microsoft:Custom Dictionary

APPLIES TO
  • Microsoft Entourage 2001 for Mac Special Edition
