Article ID: 277862 - Last Review: October 27, 2006 - Revision: 2.5 Incorrect File Sizes Are Reported by Services For Macintosh on Windows 2000-Based Servers
This article was previously published under Q277862 SYMPTOMS
Windows 2000-based servers that are running Services For Macintosh may report file sizes that are incorrect. For example, files may be reported to be larger than they really are. When the server lists incorrect file sizes, Macintosh clients may report that the volume on the Windows 2000 server is full, and this may affect file transfers.
CAUSE
Services For Macintosh on Windows 2000-based servers do not properly respond to file-size queries from Macintosh clients.
