SYMPTOMS

When a scheduled task commences while a computer is sleeping, or has been suspended by the operator, the monitor continues to run in Power Management mode.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because it is assumed that the user is not present because no action was taken to take the computer out of the suspension. For example, neither the mouse nor the keyboard was used; neither the power nor the sleep button was pressed. The display is not initialized because a user is (most likely) not present.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
