WD2001: Word Speak Is Not Available on the Microsoft Office 2001 CD

Word Speak uses Apple Text-To-Speech technology to read text aloud from a Microsoft Word 2001 document. If you install Word Speak, you can select a voice to read any selection from your Word document.

Word Speak is not available on the Microsoft Office 2001 for Mac installation CD; however, the add-in is available for download from the following Microsoft Web site:

Requirements

To install Word Speak, your computer must have the following software installed:

• Microsoft Word 2001 for Mac
• Apple Mac OS, version 8.5 or later
• Apple English Text-To-Speech software
• Apple English Speech Recognition software
