Cannot Add New Hardware Driver by Using Drive A

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to specify the path to a driver, floppy disk drive A may be missing when you click Browse in the Add New Hardware Wizard to specify the floppy disk drive as the installation point.

CAUSE

This issue might occur if a Universal Serial Bus (USB) floppy disk drive is mapped as drive A in a computer with no floppy disk drive. The issue does not occur if the floppy disk drive is connected when you boot the computer.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
