SYMPTOMS

The 3Dlabs Wildcat 5110 AGP video adapter is not detected in Itanium-based computers. There is no indication in the Setupapi.log file that Plug and Play detection was performed on the adapter. In Device Manager, the AGP slot indicates an error (code 12) only when the 3Dlabs Wildcat 5110 video adapter is in the AGP slot.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
