The Inetinfo.exe process may stop responding. If Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000 symbols are installed, a Dr. Watson log file shows the following stack:
Event ID: 7011 Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Type: Error Description: Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the IMAP4Svc service.
Event ID: 7031 Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Type: Error Description: The IIS Admin Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 6 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 1 milliseconds: Run the configured recovery program.
Event ID: 7031 Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Type: Error Decription: The Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 5 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No action.
Event ID: 7031 Event Source: Service Control Manager Event Type: Error Decription: The Network News Transport Protocol (NNTP) service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 5 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No action.

This behavior can occur if the message that is being processed is corrupted. A stack overflow in the Mailmsg.dll file might be the reason that the Inetinfo.exe process stops responding and that you may receive event ID messages that point to problems with disks or controllers.
