Problems After You Create a Folder That Is Named "Desktop" on the Desktop in Windows XP

SYMPTOMS

If you create a folder that is named "Desktop" on the desktop, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms in the tree view in Windows Explorer:

If you click the plus sign (+) on a node, the folders that are located under that node may not be displayed.
The Desktop folder may be listed multiple times.
Several other folders may appear with unintelligible or garbled characters as the folder names.
You may receive an error message that is similar to the following error message:
"F:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\Desktop\Desktop" refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network. Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, or that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again. If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location.
