You receive a "The format is not supported" error message when you try to preview a QuickTime movie in PowerPoint
Explains why you receive an unsupported format error when you preview an Apple QuickTime movie that you inserted in a PowerPoint presentation. You can use the QuickTime Player for Windows or convert the movie to a PowerPoint-supported format.
