Session Summary



In this session, we will discuss the basics of Windows troubleshooting for Windows 98 issues, including common problems you may encounter in Windows 98. This session will cover when you should use Safe Mode/Clean Boot troubleshooting, how to implement it, and why it is such a useful tool for all Windows 98 users, especially those in a helpdesk role. Learning this technique will save you valuable time and effort diagnosing and resolving Windows 98 related problems for your users.

David Paisley joined Microsoft in July 1994. He has been involved in both research and technical aspects of Windows support, and has focused on Windows troubleshooting for more than two years. David currently works for Product Support Services (PSS), delivering Windows support for Professional and Premier customers. His work has been published in the Microsoft Sourcebook for the Helpdesk.
