SYMPTOMS

When you record an Audio-Video Interleaved (.avi) file in Microsoft Camcorder 97, you can use any special pointer format, such as an animated cursor; however, when you play back the movie, Microsoft Camcorder replaces the pointer with the Microsoft Windows default arrow pointer.

CAUSE

The Camcorder uses a "software cursor" which reduces the size of the playback file, and records the movie more accurately. The mouse pointer location is recorded instead of the pixel position of the mouse pointer. When you play back the movie, Microsoft Camcorder displays the Microsoft Windows default software cursor in the recorded location.

APPLIES TO
Microsoft Office 97 Standard Edition
