When you copy characters from the Wingdings font in Character Map to
Wordpad, the characters may appear in the Times New Roman font. This
problem does not occur with other fonts.

To work around this problem, select the characters and then change the font
to Times New Roman. While the characters are still selected, change the
font back to Wingdings.
