No Warning Deleting .Exe or .Com Files from Recycle Bin

SYMPTOMS

When you empty the Recycle Bin, you are not prompted for confirmation before files with .exe or .com extensions are removed. You are prompted for confirmation before other types of files are removed.

When you empty the Recycle Bin, and only one file with a .exe or .com extension is in the wastebasket, you are not prompted for confirmation before the file is removed; however, if more than one file with a .exe or .com extension exists, you are prompted. You are prompted for confirmation before other types of files are removed.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 95.

This issue does not occur in Microsoft Windows 98.
