Micron Pentium 90 with Phoenix BIOS Hangs on Shutdown

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Shut Down command to shut down Windows 95 on a Micron Pentium 90-MHz computer, the computer may stop responding (hang).

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the computer contains an outdated BIOS. The problem occurs with BIOS revision number 4.04 M54Pi-N14p.

RESOLUTION

To correct this problem, Micron recommends that you upgrade the ROM BIOS to revision 19. You can obtain the ROM BIOS flash upgrade from Micron, or from Micron's Web site at:

Download the 90_PM_19.ZIP file from Micron's Web site.
