Incorrect Default Short Date Style Used After Changing Style

SYMPTOMS

After you change the Short Date style by double-clicking the Regional Settings icon in Control Panel and clicking the Date tab, if you try to change back to the default Short Date style (M/D/YY), the correct style is not used.

RESOLUTION

Change the Short Date style to M/D/YY, and then restart your computer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Windows 95. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
