PPT98: QuickTime Movie Flashes, Blinks with Slide Transition

SYMPTOMS

After you insert a QuickTime movie in a presentation, the QuickTime movie may appear to flash or blink on the screen during a slide show.

CAUSE

The flashing or blinking behavior will appear if you selected the following custom animation settings:
While Playing: Continue Slide Show.
Stop Playing: After is set to be greater than 1 slide.
When the slide transition occurs, the slide that contains the QuickTime movie is temporarily hidden by the next slide. In addition, the QuickTime movie that is playing is also hidden, making it appear that the movie is flashing or blinking.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft PowerPoint 98 Macintosh Edition.
