SYMPTOMS

When issuing the command "pmadmin set dbserver", you may find that the parameters that you did not specify in the command line will be reset.

CAUSE

Pmadmin uses the parameters that are passed in the command line to set the configuration. If a parameter is not specified, pmadmin resets the configuration to hard-coded defaults.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, apply the latest Site Server 3.0 service pack.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Site Server version 3.0. This problem was corrected in the latest Microsoft Site Server version 3.0 U.S. Service Pack. For information on obtaining the service pack, query on the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
