If you start Windows and click the Start button while the startup sound is
playing, you may receive the following error message:
Explorer An error has occurred in your program. To keep working anyway, click Ignore and save your work to a new file. To quit this program, click Close. You will lose information you entered since your last save. Clicking Ignore causes the error message to be repeated. Clicking Close causes the following error message to be displayed:
Explorer
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut
down. If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.
Clicking Details displays the following information:
EXPLORER caused a general protection fault in module mmsystem.dll
at 0004:xxxxxxxx
NOTE: If you are using the Active Desktop, the Active Desktop Recovery screen appears. Clicking Restore My Active Desktop and then clicking Yes restores your Active Desktop settings, but the icons on the right side of the taskbar may be missing until you restart Windows. CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you have Naleco RADFind 96 version 1.0a
installed and you are using a sound scheme that plays a Windows sound
(.wav) file for the Menu Popup and Windows Start events. The error
message occurs if RADFind 96 is scanning your disk and the startup
sound is playing when you click the Start button.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, use the appropriate method:
Method 1Disable the sound for the Menu Popup event:
Method 2Do not click the Start button until the Windows startup sound has finished playing, or until RADFind 96 has finished scanning your drives.Method 3Uninstall RADFind 96. To uninstall RADFind 96, follow these steps:

This problem may also occur during normal Windows operation if RADFind 96
is running and two system sounds are played at the same time. RADFind 96
is a file search program that scans your hard disk and indexes the files
on the disk.
