When you apply a Dynamic HTML Effect to a word in a paragraph, the effect is applied to the entire paragraph.

To apply a Dynamic HTML Effect to a single word in a paragraph, do the following:
| 1. | Place your cursor in front of the word you want to apply the DHTML effect to and press the Return key on the keyboard. |
| 2. | Place your cursor after of the word you want to apply the DHTML effect to and press the Return key on the keyboard.
Note: This will place the word on its own line.

| 3. | Select the word. |
| 4. | On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Positioning. |
| 5. | On the Positioning toolbar, click Position Absolutely, and then position the word where you want it to appear in your paragraph.
Note: You may need to use the positioning tool to position the rest of your paragraph properly.

| 6. | Click Close in the upper-right corner of the toolbar. |
| 7. | Select the word that you want to apply the effect to. |
| 8. | On the Format menu, click Dynamic HTML Effects. |
| 9. | Apply the effect you want, and then click Close in the upper-right corner of the DHTML Effects bar. |
