When you use absolute positioning on text that also has a Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language (DHTML) effect applied to it, the text does not appear in the Netscape 4.0 or later browsers.

If you preview the page in Netscape 3.0, you see the text, but the animation and absolute positioning do not appear.

If you view the page in Internet Explorer 4 or Internet Explorer 5, the page displays correctly.

If you use absolute positioning on text that also has a DHTML effect applied to it, the text will not display in the Netscape 4.0 or later browsers.

To work around this issue, do not apply DHTML effects to absolutely positioned items if your intended audience includes Netscape users. Many of the Netscape users will not be able to see these objects.

However, Internet Explorer 4 and 5 fully support this functionality.
