SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft HTML Help Workshop 1.2, when you try to add categories for information types, the category is not added when you click OK in the Categories and Information Types dialog box.

RESOLUTION

To correct this behavior, ensure that you have Microsoft HTML Help Workshop version (1.2) 4.73.8320.0 or later. You can obtain the latest version of HTML Help Workshop from the MSDN Online Web Workshop Web site at:

Microsoft HTML Help Workshop 1.2 has several incremental releases. The version of HTML Help Workshop that ships with the Microsoft Office 2000 Developer is (1.2) 4.73.8302.0. To determine which version of HTML Help Workshop you have installed, click Version on the Help menu.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

1.Start HTML Help Workshop.
2.On the File menu, click New.
3.In the New dialog box, click Table of Contents, and click OK.
4.In the Table of Contents Properties box, click the Contents Properties button, and then click the Information Types tab.
5.Click Add.
6.In the Categories and Information Types dialog box, type some sample text in the Category Name box, the Information Type Name box, and the two Description boxes.
7.Click either Inclusive Type or Exclusive Type, and then click OK. Note that when you click OK, a new category is not added.
