FrontPage 2000 shares a number of files with Office 2000. The FrontPage 2000 Trial is released code, and is not compatible with the beta versions of the shared code that is installed by the Office 2000 Preview Program.

When you attempt to install the FrontPage 2000 Trial version on a computer with any prerelease versions of Microsoft Office 2000, you will receive the following warning:
Warning: Setup has detected a prerelease version of an Office 2000 family application installed on this computer. You must exit setup and uninstall the pre-released software before you install this version. If you choose to continue, Office 2000 may not install properly. [Exit Setup] [continue]

If you choose to continue with setup in the default installation location, the pre-release version of Office 2000 will no longer function. It may also produce problems in the FrontPage Trial version.
