Folders May Not Close in the Favorites Pane

SYMPTOMS

When you use the keyboard to open multiple folders in the Favorites pane, the previous folders may not close.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if you are using the RIGHT ARROW key on the keyboard to open the folders.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, double-click the folders to open the folders.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue with the keyboard, select the folder you want to close, and then press the LEFT ARROW key on the keyboard to close the folder.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
