USB Web Cameras May Cause Hibernate to Work Improperly

SYMPTOMS

Hibernate functions may not work properly with the following Universal Serial Bus (USB) Web cameras:

Logitech QuickCam Home
Philips 675/680 USB

CAUSE

The Stream.sys file does not allow a device to hibernate unless it is specified to do so in the manufacturer's Inf file.

RESOLUTION

This is a confirmed issue with the above referenced products. Please contact the product manufacturer about new Inf files for your specified device, or unplug the device and then plug it back in to regain normal operation.
