BUG: HTML Help: Changing Background Color of Table of Contents Does Not Change Color Behind Text

SYMPTOMS

When you change the background color of the Table of Contents in an HTML Help project, the background color does not change behind any text that is in the table.

CAUSE

This is caused by a bug in the HTML Help compiler.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

1.Open an HTML Help project and select the Contents tab. Click the Table of Contents Properties button.
2.Click the Styles tab, and then change the background color.
3.Save, compile, and view the Table of Contents. All of the text will still have a white background.
