When you try to read a news message while offline, you may receive timeout
error messages or warnings, and the message may not open.

Outlook Express cannot properly process messages that have a period as
the first character on any line in the message.

To work around this problem, switch to the Outlook Express Front Page,
and then switch back to your news server.
NOTE: The message is not downloaded until you establish an online
connection to your news server.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Outlook Express version
4.0 for Windows95 and Windows NT 4.0. We are researching this problem and
will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
becomes available.
