After you import items created in Eudora to the Address Book in Microsoft
Outlook 98, you notice recipients that were defined in Eudora Nicknames are
imported as individual items with strange entries consisting of shifted
elements of the e-mail addresses in the Name field of both the Contacts and
Address Book. The actual Nicknames, which Outlook users know as Groups, are
converted.
CAUSE
Eudora uses only e-mail addresses in Nicknames, so Outlook uses the e-mail
address elements to make a name for the Contact. Names must be manually
entered in place of the incorrect names since the Eudora Nicknames use only
addresses.
RESOLUTIONImporting Addresses Using the Windows Address BookAn alternate method of converting addresses from the Eudora Nicknames list is to use the import function of the Windows Address Book (WAB). To import using the WAB, follow these steps:
