Gray Line Appears When Using Internet Explorer

SYMPTOMS

When use Internet Explorer, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
A gray vertical line may appear on the left side of the screen.
A gray horizontal line may appear at the top of the screen.
If you are using a computer with multiple monitors, a gray line may appear on the right side of the screen of the secondary monitor.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you visit the MSNBC Web site and click a menu that contains five or less items.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, click the Maximize button (the middle button in the upper-right corner of the Internet Explorer window), and then click the button again to restore the Internet Explorer window to its previous size.
