SUMMARY

Microsoft Outlook 2000 includes the capability to associate a mail folder with a Web view. You can set up this association so that when a user selects the folder the Web page displays or the contents of the folder display. You also have the option to switch between the Web or contents views of the folder.

This option can be useful for including instructions or news about the items in the folder.

MORE INFORMATION

To associate a folder with a Web view, follow these steps:

1.On the View menu, click to turn on the Folder List.
2.In the Folder List, right-click the folder you want to associate with a Web page and on the shortcut menu, click Properties.
3.In the Property dialog box, click the Home Page tab.
4.In the Address box, type the URL for the Web page you want displayed.
5.Click to select "Show home page by default for this folder" if you want the Web view active when you first select the folder. The second time you click the folder from the Folder List the contents will display.
6.Click OK.
You can toggle between the contents and the Web view of this folder by clicking "Show Folder Home Page" on the View menu.
