OL2000: Distribution Lists Lost After Switching to Corporate Version from IMO

NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate Workgroup/Other option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate" if you have the Corporate Workgroup installation.

SYMPTOMS

When upgrading from Microsoft Outlook 98, Internet Mail Only, to Outlook 2000, Corporate or Workgroup, distribution list member information is lost.

RESOLUTION

You must recreate each distribution list after upgrading to Outlook 2000.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 2000.
