SYMPTOMS

After you install Windows 98, Device Manager may display an exclamation point in a yellow circle next to Iomega Ditto Dash.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, use the Add New Hardware Wizard to manually install the drivers for your Iomega Ditto Dash card. To do so, follow these steps:

1.Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2.Double-click Add/New Hardware.
3.Click Next, and then click Next again to search for Plug and Play devices.
4.Click "No, I want to select the hardware from a list," and then click Next.
5.Under Hardware Types, click Tape Drive Controllers, and then click Next.
6.Under Manufacturers, click Iomega, and then click Iomega Ditto Dash under Models.
7.Click Next, click Next again, and then click Finish.
NOTE: If an exclamation point in a yellow circle is still displayed next to Iomega Ditto Dash in Device Manager, you may have to change the card's resource settings. For information about how to do so, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
