FP2000: Column Values are Added to Current Cell in Database Region

SYMPTOMS

When you add column values to an existing Database Region, a new cell is not created and the values are added to the current cell.

CAUSE

FrontPage treats the table cells similar to normal table cells. If you insert or add additional information, it will be added to the current cell.

When you insert additional database column values, FrontPage will insert the values into the current cell.

RESOLUTION

To create new columns for a database region, use one of the following methods (Method 1 is the preferred method).

Method 1: Add an Additional Column Value to the Database Results Wizard

1.Right-click the Database Results Region, and click to select Database Results Properties from the menu.
2.In step three of the Wizard, click Edit List and add the column.

Method 2: Add an Additional Column to the Database Region.

1.In FrontPage, open the page that contains the database region.
2.Right-click inside the desired column cell, and click0 Split Cells from the menu.
3.Click OK.
4.Click inside the new cell.
5.On the Insert menu, point to Database, and click Column Value.
6.Select the column to display, and click OK.
