Deleted "Available Offline" Favorites Still Remain on the Synchronize List

SYMPTOMS

When you use Internet Explorer, you may experience the following symptoms:

Internet Explorer 5

When you synchronize offline favorites, some sites may be available in the synchronization list that have already been deleted from the favorites list.

When you update subscriptions, some sites may update that have already been deleted from the favorites list.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur for the following reasons:

This can occur if an offline favorite is in a subfolder of the Favorites folder, and that subfolder is then deleted.

The can occur if the you did not unsubscribe to the site before deleting it.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, use the appropriate method:

Internet Explorer 5

1.Right-click Start, and then click Explore.
2.Use Windows Explorer to open the Windows\Offline Web Pages folder.
3.Right-click the offline favorite to be removed, and then click Delete.
NOTE: To prevent this issue from occurring, delete each offline favorite from the subfolder of the Favorites folder before deleting that subfolder.

3.Right-click the offline favorite to be removed, and then click Delete.
NOTE: To prevent this issue from occurring, unsubscribe to each Offline Favorite in the subfolder of the Favorites folder before deleting that subfolder.
