You receive "Internal Error" error messages when you run Office 2000 Setup on Windows NT or Windows 2000

messages or a combination of these error messages may appear:
Internal Error 2381: Please contact product support for
assistance. Internal Error 1303: The Installer
has insufficient privileges to access this directory: [2] Internal Error 1310: Error attempting to create the destination
file: [3]. System error code: [2] Internal
Error 1315: The specified folder '[2]' is not writable. For example,
if you you create a verbose log file ("setup.exe /l*v C:\offlog.txt") and view
the log file, you may read text similar to the following: MSI (s) (30:C4): Executing op: FileCopy(SourceName=EXCEL.EXE,DestName=EXCEL.EXE,Attributes=9217,FileSize=7 151661,Version=9.0.0.2719,Language=0,InstallMode=58982400,PerTick=32768,IsC ompressed=0,,VerifyMedia=1,,,) MSI (s) (30:C4): File: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\EXCEL.EXE; To be installed; No existing file InstallFiles: Copying file: EXCEL.EXE (7151661bytes) to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\ MSI (s) (30:C4): Note: 1: 2318 2: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\EXCEL.EXE CAUSE These error messages may appear if all of the following are

RESOLUTION To resolve this problem, ensure that you have the necessary
permissions on your hard disk or disks. To do this, follow these steps:
