If a malicious user transmits a malformed Remote Procedure Call (RPC) client packet to a Windows 2000-based computer, the RPC Server service on the host computer may stop responding (hang). If this occurs, you must restart the host computer for the RPC Server service to work properly.

Microsoft used the most current virus-detection software that was available on the date that the file was posted.
